Riley Keough
American
actress Danielle Riley Keough. Born in Santa Monica, California, to the famous
musicians Lisa Marie Presley and Danny Keough, she is a granddaughter of the
actress Priscilla Presley and singer Elvis Presley. Keough was raised by her
father in Hawaii and Los Angeles, and additionally was a resident of her mother
in California and Tennessee. At age 15 she began modeling, including
appearances at fashion shows for Dolce & Gabbana and Christian Dior, as
well as being featured on the cover of Vogue. Keough made her feature film
debut at the age of 20, appearing as a support character in the musical biopic
The Runaways (2010), playing Marie Currie. After The Good Doctor (2011) the
film, she was a part of Jack & Diane (2012). Then she was cast in Magic
Mike (2012), an uncredited role in Steven Soderbergh’s comedy film Magic Mike
(2012). After her appearance in Yellow and Kiss of the Damned in 2012, Keough
was cast in the action film of the same name, which was a huge budget Mad Max:
Fury Road (2015). In 2016, Keough had her breakthrough role as a law
student-turned-escort in the first season of the anthology series The
Girlfriend Experience, executive-produced by Soderbergh and based on his 2009
film of the same name. Her performance was well-received by critics and she was
also nominated for an Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an actress in
a limited series or motion picture made for television. Keough's performance of
a depressed young girl in American Honey (2017) garnered the same praise as
well as an Independent Spirit Award nomination. In the same year, Keough was in
the apocalyptic horror film It Comes at Night (2017) and then reunited with
Soderbergh to be a part of his heist film, Logan Lucky. The film was followed
by roles in a myriad of horror and thriller films in 2018, such as Lars von
Trier's The House That Jack Built and the neonoir Under the Silver Lake. Keough
played the role of the lead character in The Lodge, a psychological horror
film. Zola is Keough's comedy-drama sequel. Keough is Sandy Harrison in
Netflix’s 2020 release of The Devil All the Time.
