Seehorn, born May 12, 1972 is an American actress. She is best known for her
role as the attorney Kim Wexler on AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-2018), for
which she was presented with the Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress in
a Show, Miniseries, or Television Film. The show also starred her in the NBC
series Whitney (2011)-2013, ABC's I'm with Her(2003)-2004 as well as TNT's
Franklin & Bash (2011)-2014. Deborah Rhea Seehorn was born in Norfolk,
Virginia, on May 12, 1972. Her mother was an executive secretary of the United
States Navy, her father was an agent for the Naval Investigative Service. The
family was based in Washington, D.C., Arizona, Japan, and was frequently moved
throughout her childhood. Following the footsteps of her father and
grandmother, she studied drawing, painting, and architecture from an early age.
While she continued her pursuit of the art of the visual, she found an interest
in acting. She was also introduced to modern theatre in the course of her
college. She graduated from George Mason University in 1994 with a BA in Studio
Art. Seehorn, who was studying in college was interested in entering theatre
after being inspired by her acting professor. In order to be noticed she took
on ancillary roles in D.C.'s theatre industry. She ended up getting some
prominent roles in local theatre productions However, she still had to take odd
jobs to pay the bills as she landed roles in several short instructional films.
Then she was involved in more TV productions. Her role was often compared to
Bea Arthur, whom she described as "very wry," "sarcastic, and
well-educated" women. However, most of her roles were short-run series
that ended after one or two seasons. Seehorn was part of Better Call Saul, the
Breaking Bad spinoff series. Seehorn is Kim Wexler (a lawyer) and is the love
interest of Saul Goodman, the aforementioned Jimmy McGill.
