Rita Ora Bio
Rita Ora, a British music producer and singer. She was born Rita Sahatciu Ora in 1990 in Pristina, Kosovo, to Vera (Bajraktari) and Besnik Sahatciu. She is the granddaughter of director Besim Sahatciu. Her family moved to United Kingdom at age 1. She was born in West London. She attended St Cuthbert with St Matthias CE Primary School in Earls Court. After that she was able to graduate from Sylvia Young Theatre School followed by St Charles Catholic Sixth Form College. She started singing at a young age. In 2004, she was featured in the British film Spivs. She was selected to audition for Eurovision: Your Country needs You as a British participant in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. However she was unable to participate in the contest after only few episodes because she didn't feel confident enough. In 2007 Ora got her first music release , when she performed on Craig David's track entitled "Awkward" and again in 2008 on "Where's Your Love" featuring Tinchy Stryder, for which she is also featured in the music video. Ora began performing in bars all over London. Roc Nation was informed by an A&R representative about Ora in 2009, a couple of days after Ora was on her way to New York and met Jay-Z. Ora was in Jay-Z's 2009 video for "Young Forever", and "Over" from Drake. Ora caught the attention of Jay-Z and he quickly signed her to Roc Nation, in which she was featured in an advertisement for Roc Nation + Skullcandy Aviator Headphones. Her father Besnik was a pub owner and she began her singing performances from the same pub. She cites Gwen Stefani as a major influence on her manner of speaking as well as her band No Doubt's "Don't Speak" (1996) as one of her top songs.Her 2016 video for Tezenis, The Silk Code, is the title of a novel which has won the Locus Award for Best First Science Fiction Novel in 1999.She was considered seriously for the role of Iris West in Justice League (2017) before KierseyClemons was chosen as the character. Kate Moss and Ed Sheeran are good friends.
