Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell is an American TV chef and former instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. She hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef at Food Network. Food Network. With her signature spiky blond hair and her pumped-up appearance, Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of restaurant dishes and reveals concise easy-to-master techniques for the at-home cook on her Food Network series Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Chef Burrell was employed in New York at top restaurants as well as studied Italian cuisine traditions and geography. She also competed as Iron Chef America on Food Network. As a child in the upstate of New York, Chef Burrell developed a passion for cooking and food at an early age. She pursued her passion for the restaurant industry by enrolling at The Culinary Institute of America following the completion of a bachelor's degree in English and Communications from Canisius College, Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America has been a great learning experience. I was never able to learn or do enough. After graduation, Burrell spent one year studying in the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and working in Umbria's La Taverna del Lupo as in Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, a Michelin-starred restaurant. In Italy Burrell developed a profound appreciation and understanding of Italian cuisine and its culture. This will have a significant impact on the way that Burrell prepares her food. Burrell was a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board to brighten children's lives who are facing challenges. She is also a Juvenile Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador where she advocates for education about children with diabetes. As an inspirational speaker, she travels across the nation to share her passion for food and her culinary career. In her journey to culinary excellence, Anne often says that she feels extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to share my passion to others.
